THE LOST BOY.

BY: David Pelzer.

Video One: I chose this video because it gives a very good description on the book. It explains explains how the boy is treated and how the mom is. What kind of mom would really do some of that stuff to their own child..? I think that the video clip is probably the best one to explain how the book is. If you have read both the book and watched the video then i think everyone would agree.

Video Two: I chose this second video because i think it gives a good explanation of how the boy kind of had to live his life and get starved. Nobody in the world would want to get treated or abysed or starved like the boy David did. The video isn't all about the book but it might put the main idea out there about how the setting was.

Memorable Quotes:
Quote One: "I don't dare make a sound as I cry deep inside. I know I'm wrong. And as always, it's all my fault." Chap. 1, p. 31.
I chose this quote because I think that it describes how the boy kind of feel on the inside. If he didn't have that kind of life then he probably would have thought a lot more positive about things. I also chose this quote because I like how the boy can tell what he is thinking or what he went through in his life. He can also explain all the feelings inside of his body.

Quote Two: "After filling out some forms at the police station, the officer called Mother to inform her that I was not coming home that afternoon, and that she could call the county's juvenile authorities if she had any questions. I sat like a statue, feeling both horror and excitement as the officer spoke on the phone." Chap. 2, p. 37.
I chose this quote because it is good that the boy is actually not under his moms roof anymore, and that maybe now he will be living better and not be tortured by his mom all the time. The author also give good statements in the book, and I also like how he makes the book. It is very interesting and I like the whole book.

Quote Three:
"I had hoped he was taking me to some kind of jail, with all the other bad children - as Mother had programmed into me for so many years.".....
This quote is probably not my best because I think the boy needed to be treated better. His mom was brudly mean and he never did a thing to her. He didn't deserve to go to any kind of jail, his mom just hated him so much she didn't want him around at all. I like how once the boy got taken away his mom was always nice and wanted him back. Then all of a sudden she was trying to get him put in a jail for nothing at all.
